The study of population structure is very important to determine the status or condition of a population in a habitat. Frankincense (Styrax sp.) is a sap-producing tree with high economic value and one of the mainstay plants of North Sumatra Province. The research was conducted in February - March 2022 for a period of approximately one month in the Protection Forest in Aek Nauli Village, Pollung District, Humbanghasundutan Regency. The research location is located on the line 2º 17'05452 "North Latitude and 98º36'1.97352" East Longitude with an altitude of 1.481 MPDL. In the vegetation analysis that has been carried out, 36 species of trees and 17 species of undergrowth have been identified. This research was conducted by way of a direct survey to the field using the "plotted line method". Processing data using the formula of vegetation analysis. In the vegetation analysis the highest IVI was at the tree level, namely Kemenyan (Styrax sumatrana) of 147.71%, at the pole level namely Kemenyan (Styrax sumatrana) of 77.12%, at the sapling level of Haun Dolok (Syzygium racemosum) of 34.10% , at the seedling level, namely Haun Dolok (Syzygium racemosum) of 34.76% and at the level of undergrowth, namely Rias (Etlingera elatior) of 31.48%. Types that are highly associated with Frankincense (Styrax sumatrana) are Hoting (Quensus gemelliflora), Haun Dolok (Syzygium racemosum), Medang (Litsea brachytachys), Dalom (Quersus salicina) and ferns (Pteridium aquilinum).
