Maimun Palace is the royal palace of the Deli Sultanate which was founded in 1973
by Sultan Al Rasyid. This palace was designed by an Italian architect named Ferrari
and built by Sultan Al Rasyid from 26 August 1888 to 18 May 1891. Some visitors to
the Maimun Palace are still not interested in studying each of these heritages.
Maimun Palace also measures 2,772 m2 and has 30 rooms. It has two floors and
three sections: the main building, the left wing (room for the brothers), and the right
wing (room for the sisters). The aim of this research is to use augmented reality
technology to provide more interesting and interactive historical information about
the legacy of the Sultanate of Deli at the Maimun Palace to convey more entertaining
information. Markerless technology that uses coordinate points that have been stored
in the data to display AR objects and also as tracking for AR objects, so that the
displayed AR object data looks original and is easier for visitors to understand, in
addition to room coordinates to guide them to room. The conclusion in using this
application is to display AR objects properly, it is recommended that the distance is
equal to 1 meter.
