dc.description.abstractAcoustic material is a material engineering whose main function is to absorb the sound. Acoustic material is a material that can absorb sound energy, but the amount of absorbed energy is different for each material. The general objective of this research is to analyze the physical properties and sound absorption coefficient of composite polymeric foam material reinforced by palm trunk fiber to be used on airframe. From this research found that the variable II has a good physical properties and mechanical properties with mass of 1,6367g, 3,03ml volume, and the density of 539,56݇݃ ݉ ⁄ ଷ. And for sound absorption test is used to test specimens with variable II. The frecuency of the most well-absorbed by the composite material is at an intermediate frecuency. For the thickness of 5mm highest absorption coefficient of 0,5557 which is the frequenct of 1500Hz, while the 10mm thickness of the absorption coefficient maximum of 0,5060 at a frequency of 1000Hz, and the 15mm thickness of the absorption coefficient maximum of 0,5109 at a frequency of 500Hzen_US
