Ciri Akustik Tuturan Kalimat Interogatif Bahasa Mandailing

Abstract

The title of this research is "The Acoustic Characteristic Interrogative sentence of Mandailing Language use sub-District of Sei Mati Medan".This research intends to describe the differences of acoustic features of Mandailingnese interrogative sentences that is frequency, intensity and duration. The data were collected by recording the voice of twenty respondents. After the data were collected then they were processed by using computer program of Praat version 4.0.27. Based on the result of data processing and after the measurement of frequency, and intensity of duration was done. After words the measurement of accoustic of acoustic characteristic of interrogative. Based on the analysis, of the acoustics characteristic of Mandailingnese interrogative sentences, it indicates that the frequency of interogatif sentences by male spekears is lower than that of female spekears, while based on age, the frequency of 41-60 years is lower than that of 20-40 years old spekears.The intensity of male spekears is lower than that of females,and the intensity of 20- 40 years old spekears is higher than that of 41-60 years old speakers. The duration of male is shorted than that of female speakers, and the duration of 20- 40 years old speakers, is shorter, than that of 41-60 years old speakers. Than the data were examined using SPSS ( Statistics Package For Social Scientist) of 15.0 version, in order to know wether the result is significant or not.
