Analisis Preservasi, Konservasi dan Restorasi Koleksi Naskah Kuno pada Museum Adityawarman Sumatera Barat

Abstract

This research is done of Aditycowerman Mhest, West Sumatera, located or Diponegoro, Padang, West Samanera, It delves into the preservation conservation, and restoration of manuscript collection as well as the obstacles encountered by Adityawarman Miacum, West Sumatera, in executing these activities. This descriptive qualitative research collects its data through observation, irview, and documentation. There are three informants interviewed, namely Head of Conservation and Development Section, and two staff of the Conservation and Development Section The findings demonstrate that damages to the manuscript collection in Adityawarman Mineurs, West Sumatera are caused by aging, biological factor such an insects. rodents and fungus phyles factor such as light air, cut and moisture: chemical factors such as chemical composition, ocity, and oxidation, human and natural daanter factors The action taken by Acitystarman Men, West Sumatera for prevention from these damages is preservation by determining the proper polley conservation by regular having routine maintenance and check of the monascript moking rules to vitors and supervising every visitor: conservation by physically repairing the manuscript including patching the damaged parts of the manuscript, putting a laver made of Japanese tissue, connecting covering and repairing the joints of the manuscript in order to preserving the manuscript. The research also finds that the achievement of the preservation target of the manuscript collection in Adityawarman Museum is not maximal yet de to fiults found in executing the preservation activities caused by minimal supporting facility during the preservation process of the manuscript collection.
