dc.description.abstract | The theory used in this research is pragmatics which focuses its study on imperative speech in the movie My stupid boss. The purpose of this research are: To describe the form of imperative speech meaning in the movie My Stupid Boss, and to determine the politeness markers in the speech contained in the movie My Stupid Boss. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research that describes the form and politeness markers found in Malay speech in the movie. The data is taken from the movie entitled my stupid boss. The movie was released on May 19, 2016 directed by Upi Avianto. The data collection method used in this research is the listening method. The listening method is used to obtain data by listening to the use of language and speech language used in this movie. The technique used to implement this method is note-taking technique. The data were then identified and analyzed based on pragmatic theory. The results of the research related to the form of imperative pragmatic meaning and politeness markers in the movie My Stupid Boss are found nine forms of imperative pragmatic meaning, among others: utterances containing the form of imperative pragmatic meaning of command, request, hope, invitation, prohibition, appeal, citation, swearing, suggestion. While on the politeness markers, the author found four imperative politeness markers in this movie, among others: politeness markers of please, try, let's, courtesy. | en_US |
