dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this writing is to analyze the role of storytelling in character education for children in Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten, obstacles to the application of storytelling, and the efforts made in overcoming obstacles to the application of storytelling in Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten. The research method is qualitative using a case study approach with the research location of Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten. The research subjects were Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten teachers. Research data was collected through documentation, interviews, and observation techniques. Data analysis by organizing, reducing data, and presenting it in discussion. The results of this study are: (1) The role of storytelling in character education as a learning medium that is carried out in learning and outside learning. (2) the obstacles faced by the teacher in the application of storytelling as a medium for children's character education, namely the competence of the teacher is related to the teacher's limited knowledge of Biblical character biographies and also the lack of focus on students.en_US
