dc.description.abstractThis thesis is entitled "Analysis of moral values in the manga Ookami kodomo no Ame to Yuki by Mamoru Hosoda". This study discusses the moral values reflected in the manga Ookami kodomo no Ame to Yuki. The purpose of this study is to explain moral values that can be used as lessons for Japanese society and people outside Japan. The basic theory used is amae theory according to Takeo Doi, giri and ninjou theory according to Benedict, shoujiki and chuugi theory according to Izano Nitobe. The method used is library research. This research data is quotations of moral values. The result of research is moral values that portray the dependence of others such as reciprority, compassion, honesty, and loyalty in life. There are also some of Hana’s personality traits: hard work and motherhood, patience, wisdomly, and toughness.en_US
