dc.description.abstractElectrical energy plays an important role in the progress of a region, therefore the availability of electrical energy should be a priority. The availability of electricity can be achieved in two ways: the addition of new plants and improve the efficiency of existing plants. In this paper the task, the authors designed a compressor inlet air cooling system or TIC (turbine inlet cooling) on Gas Power Plant with a view to improving the efficiency of the engine. Cooling system used is absorption refrigeration, where the energy is used to drive an absorption machine is waste heat energy from the gas turbine. The study design of the data the system uses the data engine General Electric Frame 9 to PT PLN (Persero) Sector Belawan. The design of absorption refrigeration cooling the intake air compressor is capable of power can increase ± 13% (± 17MW), a decrease in heat rate of ± 3%, saving fuel consumption by 0.0086 liters / kWh, a decrease in CO2 emissions of 2200 kg / h and profits other gas turbine mechanical sideen_US
