dc.description.abstract | In designing a plant system, we will not be released from the piping system.
Piping system serves as a medium for a working fluid flowing from one system
component toother components. This piping system must be able to withstand all
loads that work, namely the magnitude of the burden remains at all times (static
load) and load that varies according to the function of time (dynamic load). Piping
system's ability to withstand the work load so as not to cause the failure known as
the flexibility of the piping system. Analysis needs to be done to ensure that the
piping system in a safe condition when operated. Piping system must have
sufficient flexibility, so that at the time of operation, no piping system failure due
to overstress on the pipe. This thesis discussed about Feed Water Pump piping
system. Where the functions of Feed Water Pump is to drain the water from the
water storage tank into the water pre-heater before the water drains to the boiler.
Analysis performed with the help of Caesar II software to know stress distribution
on this piping system. After analysis, the stress that occurs in the pipe must not
exceed the stress of the pipeline allowable stress. So, The design of this piping
