Penyelidikan Perilaku Mekanik Bola Golf Polymeric Foam yang diperkuat Serat Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) dan Nilon Akibat Beban Tekan Statik dan Impak
Abstract
Testing of polymeric foam golf ball needs to be done to measure how adaptable
polymeric foam golf balls in receiving load. Tests conducted on two polymeric
foam composition to compare the strength of the material composition of the two
cover of a golf ball. Load that happens on a golf ball can be static load and
impact load. Imposition of static can occur during storage of golf balls, while the
imposition of impact occurs when beating golf balls. The research was carried out
to investigate the mechanical behavior that occurs in a polymeric foam golf balls
due to static and impact loading. Static testing variables measured in this study is
the maximum pressure, maximum stress, and modulus of elasticity the material
that making up the polymeric foam golf ball. The impact test in this study was
conducted to determine the ability of polymeric foam golf balls in receiving the
impact loads. From the test results obtained by static press maximum pressure
value 9.23 KN, maximum stress value 24.31 MPa, modulus of elasticity value
27.31 MPa for composition number one of the polymeric foam golf ball, while the
second has a maximum pressure value at 6.59 KN, maximum stress value 17.36
MPa, and the modulus of elasticity value 23.45 MPa. The results from impact test
showed great distance between the manufacturer golf ball with a polymeric foam
golf ball
