| dc.description.abstract | McNamara analysis of cephalometry is one of several cephalometry analysis to diagnose dental and skeletal discrepancies and is widely used as guiding diagnosis and treatment in orthodontics. Few studies have shown that different races show different cephalometry patterns. Moreover, malocclusion, sex, and group age also show different cephalometry pattern. This study aims to obtain cephalometry pattern in Mongoloid with class II and class III malocclusion. Methods of the study are descriptive analytic study with cross–sectional design. 100 lateral cephalometry were used as samples divided in 4 groups consisting of 20 males lateral cephalometry with class II malocclusion, 28 females lateral cephalometry with class II malocclusion, 25 males lateral cephalometry with class III malocclusion, and 27 females lateral cephalometry with class III malocclusion. The sample is digitally analyzed and grouped based on malocclusion to calculate the average and standard deviation value. The sample were also statistically tested with Mancova test to know the significance role of sex, group age, and malocclusion on McNamara Analysis. The study found that malocclusion class II group have bigger nasolabial angle while on malocclusion class III group have bigger maxilla-mandibulla differential value and smaller lower incisor protrusion value. It can be concluded that class II malocclusion have blunter nasolabial angle while malocclusion class III group have protruded mandibule and anterior crossbite. | en_US |
