dc.description.abstract | College adjustment is the adaptation of first year students to the various demands
that exist in the college environment. In addition to the ability to adapt; students
need to have the ability to self-monitor, organize, evaluate and creating a learning
environment that can support learning performance which is called self-regulated
learning. The purpose of this study was to find out how much the role of college
adjustment toward self-regulated learning in batch 2022 students at Faculty of
Psychology University of Sumatra Utara. This research uses quantitative methods
with simple linear regression statistical analysis. The number of participants is 232
people in one population using total sampling technique. The instruments used are
the college adjustment scale which is based on aspects of college adjustment
according to Baker and Syirk (1984) and the self-regulated learning scale based on
aspects of self-regulated learning according to Zimmerman (1989). The results of
this study indicate that there is a role between college adjustments toward self regulated learning by obtaining r value of 0.616 with a significance level of <0.001.
Then the R
2 score of 0.380 is obtained, which means that college adjustments have
