Gypsum type III (Dental Stone) is the most important material in the manufacture of fixed teeth that is manufacture the because it is stable and hard enough to withstand fabrication. However, often type III gypsum suffers porous and unstable retention, resulting in unstable impressions in the oral cavity. To deal with this, materials can be used die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate. The aim of this research is to know the differences in surface hardness dental stone after application die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate. In this research the sample is dental stone which is made with mould square shape measuring 50 x 50 x 8 mm. The sample size was 10 for each treatment, namely group A without being applied die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate, Group B was applied with die hardener resin and group C was applied with ethyl cyanoacrylate. After that, the applied sample was dried for 1 hour in the incubator. Measurement of surface hardness using a tool vickers microhardness tester. The results showed that the average value of surface hardness in group A was 19.94 ± 2.15 VHN; group B namely 36.19 ± 1.02 VHN; and group C which is 27.34 ± 0.99 VHN. In the one-way ANOVA test, a significant value of p=0.0001 was obtained, which means that there was a significant increase in surface hardness between type III gypsum after application die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate. On the testafter this LSD found a significant increase in surface hardness between the type III gypsum groups that were given the application die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate with control (p<0.05) has value p=0.0001, while between die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate stated that there is a significant increase in surface hardness (p=0.0001;mean diff= 8.85). It can be concluded in this study that there are differences in surface hardness dental stone after x x application die hardener resin and ethyl cyanoacrylate. There was a significant increase in surface hardness between the groups applied die hardener resin with the applied ethyl cyanoacrylate.en_US
