Simulasi Numerik Penggunaan Pompa sebagai Turbin pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) dengan Head 9,29 M dan 5,18 M Menggunakan Perangkat Lunak CFD pada Pipa Berdiameter 10,16 cm
Abstract
The use of water in turbine power generation systems is still very dominant
because only utilize the available water flow in nature. Usually the pump is driven by an
electric motor to raise the amount of water to a certain height. On the application of the
pump as turbine (PAT), the working principle of the pump is reversed, such as given
water falling from a certain height to rotate the pump impeller. Round impeller will be
forwarded to turn a generator to produce electricity. In its use to choose and determine
the characteristics of the turbine in accordance with the conditions and places where
water turbine installed in order to produce optimal energy. To determine the turbine
operating conditions and phenomena termodinamikanya then performed simulations
using the software Implementation of the simulation using the pump as a turbine with a
head (H) 9.29 m and 5.18 m. Simulations performed using Flow Simulation software
Solidwork. Centrifugal pump modeling software Solidworks Premium 2010. After the
simulation, obtained some data on the pump as turbine operating conditions, such the
head (H) gained 9.29 on the pump pressure of 185 192 Pa or 185.192 kPa. And
temperature changes of 0.048 K. At 5.18 head pressure of 144 970 Pa obtained or
144.97 kPa. From the simulation results it can be concluded that when operating as
turbines, pumps experienced delivery pressure is high enough, while for the
temperature, the temperature is not too significant, because there is no heat coming into
the system during the pumping work
