dc.description.abstract | Aerodynamics characteristics is a very important thing in applications of
aerodynamics science that aimed to get maximum performance from a form
object. Analysis of aerodynamics characteristics is done at airfoil naca 2412
used in wings aircraft model glider type. In this research, analysis of
aerodynamics characteristics isdone with assessing the distribution of fluid flow
along the contours of an aircraft wing airfoil to get distribution of velocity,
pressure and forces that occur around the airfoil. The analysis is done by
simulating fluid flow that flowing at naca 2412 airfoil using solidworks2010
software. The purpose of this analysis is to find out how large the angle of attack
that can produce maximum lift on the wings of the plane.The method used is a
method of simulation analysis. The simulation is performed by creating a NACA
2412 airfoil model and then vary the angle of attack, and so obtained the
relationship between angle of attack with speed, pressure, and maximum lift force
is generated. And the result from simulation analysis is lift maximum was
happened on 12o
