Aim: This study aims to see the correlation of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) on Otoacoustic Emission (OAE) examination with Malondialdehyde (MDA) expression in the cochlea and MDA levels in the blood in Rattus Norvegicus Diabetes Mellitus (DM) model. Methods: The research design used was randomized post-test control group laboratory experimental design. The sample is divided into 5 groups; group 1 (control), group 2 (day 3), group 3 (day 6), group 4 (day 9), group 5 (day 12) in DM, The signal to noise ratio (SNR) was assessed by OAE examination at a frequency of 1.5-12 kHz according to the research group, then mice were terminated to assess cochlear damage based on MDA expression and MDA levels in the blood. Results: There was a decrease in SNR values in all DM groups, especially in the 12th day group in DM. The highest values of MDA expression and MDA levels in the blood were found in the day 12 group. There was a very strong correlation between SNR with MDA expression and MDA levels in the blood Rattus Norvegicus in all groups. Conclusion: There is a correlation between SNR values with MDA expression in the cochlear and MDA levels in the blood in the Rattus Norvegicus DM model, caused by an increase in oxidative stress / ROS as evidenced by a decrease in SNR values and an increase in MDA expression because MDA is a marker factor / biomarker of oxidative stress.en_US
