dc.description.abstractOn the stack polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell, one of the problem was the flow velocity at the flow field that affected the reaction at the fuel cell stack. Therefore the purpose of the research was to know how much the velocity deviation, type of flow and type of flow field that being simulated. Aquadest and polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell was the extent of the problem. Benefit of the research was to decrease the used of fosil, decrease the shortage of the fuel cell staack. The method useed to achieve the purpose was teoritical calculation and simulation using CFD software. The result obtained is the velocity deviation was 36,98%, type of flow occured at the flow field was laminar flow dan type of the flow field that being simulated was serpentine flow field. The research conclusion the amount of velocity deviation effect the unoptimal of the fuel cell, laminar flow produce the uniformity of density and velocity that effect a little of unoptimal of the fuel cell, serpentine flow field symetry could be used to achieve higher iteration optimal of CFDen_US
