Study this have aim for analyze characteristics Panorusan Samosir goat in the Regency Samosir, know factors what only influences productivity goat Panorusan Samosir in the Regency Samosir and knowing strategy development farm Panorusan Samosir goat after look weaknesses , strengths , opportunities and threats that occur in the District Samosir . Study this carried out in the District Samosir on month July-October 2022 with a total of 30 respondents and 67 head samples for quantitative characteristics, and 264 head for qualitative properties. The data analysis used was analysis of the coefficient of variance, T test for characteristic analysis, multiple linear analysis and the development strategy used was SWOT analysis.
The research results show that type sex no influence character quantitative Panorusan Samosir goat, properties qualitative findings _ dominated with color hair white (56.44%), shape ear upright (79.92%), color horn white (69.32), white nail color (82.20%) . The results of multiple regression analysis show that the labor factor and the number of livestock born have a significant effect on the productivity of Panorusan Samosir goats. Based on the research results it is known that the development strategy for Panorusan Samosir goat husbandry in Samosir Regency is the W-T Strategy, namely : a. The role of extension workers is to improve the maintenance system used so far, the importance of providing additional feed, assisting in livestock marketing and providing information about germplasm and medication programs, b. A good maintenance system and a medical program that is carried out will improve the condition of the stables, overcome the decreasing grazing area, overcome problems with natural and climatic conditions and prevent disease attacks, c. Providing additional feed, either grass or concentrate, will overcome the condition of reduced grazing land. d . A good rearing system will use IB technology to increase livestock productivity, e. Strong capital will sometimes change what is not permanent to be permanent, creating its own grazing land
