The employee performance is the important factor in which a company achieves
its goals and competes with other companies. There are several factors which influence
employee performance are the working environment and career development. If the work
environment is good and a company invest in career development programs. the
employee's motivation and efforts increases and finally their performance increase. An
uncomfortable physical environmental causes employees to feel tired and bored, resulting
in numerous excuses to leave the office. Neither is the relationship between employee
· and manager (supervisor) good. Most employee are not clear about their job description,
responsibilities and job specification.
The research problem is how the working environment and career development
influence employee development and specifically isolate and analyze which factor are
influence on working performance at PT. A]andick Indonesia.
The research focuses on description of work place culture, factors which influence
the work place culture and thus employee productivity, description of career development
and the importance of career development for the employee, the usefulness of providing a
good career development program and understanding of company value of employee
achievement.
This research used a descriptive approach, using case study is supported by
survey method, the total number of population is 283 and sample size is 162. The analyze
used multiple linier regression model To test the hypothesis used F test for the overall
test and t test is used for the partial of the research with significant level 95% and a =
5%.
The result shows that both working environment and career development have
positive and highly significant effect on employee working performance. Partial test also
shows that working environment has positive and significantly influence on working
performance and career development has positively influence on work performance.
The coefficient determination (R Square) is 23,2% which that mean that 23,2% of
total variation in independent variable (working environment, career development) can
explained by dependent variable (working performance) and 77,8% is explained by other
variables are not involved in the model
