This research is a comparative study that aims to see differences in place
attachment in students who take online and offline learning. This research waa
conducted at the University of North Sumatra. This study used 257 students as
research participants from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of
Law, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Science and
Computer Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of
Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty
Psychology. Data analysis in this study used the independent sample t test. From
the results of data analysis, it shows that there are significant differences in the
place attachment of North Sumatra University students who take part in online
and offline learning. In addition, the results of other studies show that students
who take online learning have higher place attachment scores than students who
take offline learning.
