The production of tannins from coconut coir uses an extraction process
with ethanol solvent and the operating conditions are a temperature of 75°C and
a pressure of 1 atm.
The tannin factory is planned to produce with a capacity of 10,000
tonnes/year using 2,525.25 kg/hour of coconut fiber and operate for 330 days.
This factory is expected to optimize the processing of pineapple waste which is
quite large in Indonesia and increase export commodities in Indonesia.
The planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT).
The planned organizational form is line and staff with the required workforce of
157 people.
The factory location is planned in Sungai Guntung Village, Rengat
District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau, Indonesia. The required land area is
23,000 m2.
The results of the analysis of the economic aspects of the Coconut Coir
Tannin Manufacture Factory obtained are as follows:
• Capital Investment (CI) = Rp. 499.320.908.857,84
• Total Cost (TC) = Rp. 678.766.415.358,82
• Sales Results = Rp. 860.000.000.000,00
• Net Profit = Rp. 120.575.333.786,38
• Profit Margin = 20,02 %
• Break even point = 40,25 %
• Return on Investment = 24,14 % • Pay Out Time = 4,14 tahun
• Return on Network = 40,25 %
• Internal Rate of Return = 25,57 %
