dc.description.abstract | Self-regulated learning is an activity where students play an active role in
controlling their learning activities by involving metacognitive, motivation, and
behavior to achieve personal goals. Self-regulated learning is influenced by two
factors, namely internal and external, one of the external factors that can affect self regulated learning is peers. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is
a role for peer support in self-regulated learning in North Sumatra University
students who migrate to the city of Medan. This research uses quantitative methods
with simple linear regression statistical analysis. The number of samples in this study
were 362 people, obtained using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument
used is the peer support scale adapted from Agusrina's research (2022) based on
aspects of peer support by Sarafino and Smith (2011) and the self-regulated learning
scale created based on aspects of self-regulated learning by Zimmerman (1989).
Analysis of the research data showed a p-value (0.000) <0.05, so there was a role for
peer support in self-regulated learning for students at the University of North
Sumatra who migrated to Medan city with an
score of 0.065, which means that
peer support provided a role 6.5 % of self-regulated learning. | en_US |
