dc.description.abstractPreliminary plant design production of soy bean powder milk has a production capacity 18.000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The amount of soy beans required to achieve annual product capacity is 2.020,859 kg/hour. The specific task that was completed is the detailed engineering design of spray dryer. The designed spray dryer has a weight of 75.295,425 ft3 , a thickness of 0,431 in, a weight of 4.638,1344 kg and a height of 8,6 m. The Preliminary plant design production of soy bean powder milk is planned to be built in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, with a total factory area of 25.647 m2. The water demand for this factory is supplied from the Cisadane River as much as 374.125,376 kg/hour. The planned company organizational form is a Limited Liability Company(PT) with a line and staff organizational structure, and a total of 130 employees. The results of the economic analysis on thisfactory design are as follows: 1. Capital Invesment (CI) = Rp 2.384.320.791.820,42 2. Total Cost (TC) = Rp 2.197.827.262.330,66 3. Profit Margin (PM) = 27,84 % 4. Break Even Point (BEP) = 15,45 % 5. Return on Invesment (ROI) = 25,10 % 6. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,98 years 7. Return On Network (RON) = 41,83 % 8. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 29,92 % Based on the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the plant for the manufacture of podwder milk from soy beans is feasible to establish.en_US
