In 2023 USU's Industrial Engineering plans to evaluate the ongoing learning
system, so that it is hoped that USU's Industrial Engineering can soon get
international accreditation through IABEE accreditation. Based on the
observations, there are several business processes in academic business processes
that are not yet OBE-based. This is of course still not in accordance with the IABEE
criteria which require the use of OBE principles in all lecture activities. The method
used for this research is Business Process Improvement (BPI). Based on improving
business processes using BPI, it is known that the academic business processes
running at USU Industrial Engineering consist of 11 academic operational
processes. Each of these main processes have their own Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP) as a guide for their implementation. The results of the evaluation
of academic SOPs related to the implementation of Outcome Based Education
(OBE) are that there are 3 main academic activities that do not require the
implementation of OBE and the SOPs are in accordance with current conditions in
USU Industrial Engineering, there are 4 main academic activities which require
the implementation of OBE so that it is necessary to make improvements to existing
SOPs, and there are 3 main academic activities that require the implementation of
OBE as well as the development of new SOPs based on the contents of the previous
SOPs. The development of new SOPs for 8 main academic activities was carried
out because USU Industrial Engineering had not yet made these SOPs. Verification
was carried out by the USU Industrial Engineering Quality Control Group (GKM).
