Pengaruh Faktor Predisposisi dan Sumber Informasi terhadap Kesiapsiagaan Bencana Banjir pada Kepala Keluarga di Desa Peuniti Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract

The village of Peuniti, Baitu"ahman sub district, the city of Banda Aceh, every rainy season always had floods and the people in the village of Peuniti had no preparedness that caused many damage in their property in the local areas. This study aimed to analyze the influence of the predisposing factors (education, knowledge, attitudes, income) and the source of information on disaster preparedness in flood at the head of family in the village of Peuniti, Baiturrahman sub district, the city of Banda Aceh . Type of research used explanatory survey. The population of this study were 1287 heads of families, sample were 93 heads of families that selected by using simple random. The data obtained from questionnaires and analyzed used multiple regression test with a confidence level of95%. (p<0.05). The results showed that 32.2% of the head of family were doing disaster preparedness in flood in the Village of Peuniti, Baiturrahman sub district, the city of Banda Aceh. Statistically there were significant influence of variable education (0. 000), knowledge (p = 0. 000), attitude (p = 0. 006), and sources of information (0.002) on disaster preparedness in flood. Variable of income did not have any influence on disaster preparedness in flood, and variable education (p=0, 045) was the dominant variable which influence on flood disaster preparedness. It is suggested to government of Banda Aceh to make a task force on disaster management in sub-district level and village levels, making plans for disaster preparedness activities in the form of socialization, training to increase the head of family knowledge about signs of floods resulting from flooding.
