Sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is a fish species that is widely cultivated
to meet the needs of animal protein. The market demand for freshwater
consumption fish is increasing, one of the most popular fish in the market at the
moment is the sangkuriang catfish. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effect of giving EM4 probiotics with different doses and feeding rates and to find
out the best doses of EM4 probiotics and different feeding rates on the growth and
survival of sangkuriang catfish. This study used a randomized block design (RBD)
with 2 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment carried out in this study was
the addition of EM probiotics 4 ml/kg of feed (P1), the addition of probiotics 6
ml/kg of feed (P2), the addition of probiotics 8 m/kg of feed and feeding rates with
3 levels, namely 3% (F1), 4% (F2), 5% (F3). This research was conducted for 60
days of rearing to determine the increase in length, increase in weight, feed
conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate (survival rate), and water quality. The
results showed that the administration of EM4 probiotics with different feeding
rates had highly significant results (P≤0.01) for weight gain and significantly
different (P≤0.05) for length gain and significantly different (P≤0.05) for feed
conversion ratio. In this study the P3F3 treatment (Probiotic 8 ml/kg of feed with
a feeding rate of 5%) was the best treatment for the growth and survival of
sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus)
