The mangulosi tradition at a Toba Batak wedding is a mandatory tradition that must be carried out. The groom's parents are the ones who are responsible for carrying out this tradition so that it can affect the self-esteem of the individual who carries it out. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with interview data collection techniques. This study used a sampling technique, namely snowball sampling with a total of two respondents. The results of this study found that the two respondents had different aspects of the source of self-esteem at each stage of the implementation of the mangulosi tradition. The two respondents made the virtue aspect the most important at the planning stage of the mangulosi, the significant aspect during the implementation of the mangulosi, and the aspect of power at the post-mangulosi stage. The two respondents made the competence aspect the most important at different stages because they have different success values.en_US
