    Abstract
Background : Obesity has become an epidemic both in developed and developing countries. Central obesity is considered as a risk factor which is strongly correlated with several chronic disease. Central obesity correlated with RBP4 which can cause insulin resistance, escalation of triglycerides levels and apo B100. RBP4 can be a marker for insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Escalation of RBP4 levels can cause disorders of lipid metabolism. The research is objective to findout the correlation of RBP4 with triglycerides and apo B 100 in central obesity. Research Methods : it cross-sectional on 46 subjects with central obesity, aged 20-50 years. Blood samples are taken for the cubital vein and the RBP4 level, triglyceride, and apo B 100 are examined. The data are analyzed with Spearman correlation test. Result : Frequency distribution the sex of there is not much differences in between male and female, namely 43,5% and 56,5%. The correlation of RBP4 with triglycerides (r = o;478) is positively and statistically significant (p ~ 0,001). The RBP4 levels correlate with apo BlO0 (r = 0,149) positive weakly and statistically in significant (p = 0,322). The correlate triglycerides levels strongly with apo Bl00 (r = 0,523) and statistically significant (p = 0,000). Conclusion : The correlation of RBP4 levels with triglycerides is moderately positive and weakly positive with apo B 100, triglycerides levels cfrrelate strongly I positive with apo B 100. · This shows the role of RBP4 on triglycerides in central obesity
