dc.description.abstract | Employee performance, especially employees at the Tarutung Regional
General Hospital, is the result of the quality and quantity obtained by employees
for each period in accordance with the results of the acquisition of work tasks.
This is because the core service of activities at Tarutung Regional General
Hospital is carried out by the ranks of employees to produce good service
performance and the performance of these employees itself is influenced by the
leadership style and internal communication that exists both horizontally and
vertically. In accordance with the results of the performance assessment of ASN
Tarutung Hospital employees, there is a phenomenon in 2021 that there are five
indicators that have decreased from the previous year. This means that the results
of the performance of ASN Tarutung Hospital employees in carrying out their
work duties are not optimal.
The purpose of this study was to analyze and provide empirical evidence
of the effect of leadership style and internal communication together on employee
performance at Tarutung Regional Hospital. The research method used in this
research is quantitative research method which is associative with the form of
causal relationship. Respondents in this study were 144 people. The measuring
instrument used is a questionnaire. With data analysis techniques using multiple
linear regression tests.
The results showed that leadership style and internal communication
together had a positive and significant effect on employee performance based on
the results of the F test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and the
calculated F value was greater than the F table of 10.868> 3.06. The positive
effect indicates that a good leadership style and internal communication will have
an effect on improving employee performance.
Research recommendations, to improve the performance of employees of
Tarutung Regional Hospital must prioritize the elements of leadership style and
appropriate internal communication in order to improve the performance of
employees of Tarutung Regional Hospital | en_US |
