dc.description.abstract The research about Biodiversity of ephyfit plant (Orchidaceae and Pterydophyta) was conducted in Bukit Lawang forest, Langkat Regency from Februari to April 2010. Research area was determined by using Purposive Sampling Method and data were collected with Combination Method on three area of different track. The area size was 20 meter x 20 meter. The result shows there are 23 species of ephyfit orchid that include 7 genus and 11 species of ephyfit pterydophyta that include 5 family. For ephyfit orchid, species structure in location research was dominated by Bulbophyllum stelis with INP 27,93%. For ephyfit pterydophyta, species structure in location research were dominated by Asplenium nidus with INP value of 60,58%. For ephyfit orchid, the highest index of similarity is found between 5 and 6 with value of 96,29%. For ephyfit petrydophyta, the highest index of similarity is found between 1 and 2 88,88%. Diversity indexes ephyfit Orchidaceae are 2,93 (middle) and ephyfit Pterydophyta are 2,06 (middle). Host tree species are being carried by the majority of orchids and epiphytes is the kind of Eugenia spl, Eugenia sp2 and stratification are the most commonly found in the middle of stratification.en_US
