    Abstract
Research on the manufacture of biodegradable polyurethane foam with a powder filler of empty fruit bunches of oil palm processing results PTPN IV Adolina in shavings have done. Polyurethane foam has been successfully synthesized from Polypropylene Glycol and Toluene diisocyanate using powder fillers from oil palm empty fruit bunches, the resulting foam is flexible, not brittle and can easily biodegradable in nature. Poliueratan foam formed can be seen from the data that is the absorption of infrared absorption -NH bound in the wave number 3292.66 cm-1; C = O absorption at 1409.76 cm-1 region; NHCOO uptake (urethane) at 1707.62 cm-1 region. Besides the CN absorption of isocyanate at 1375.07 cm-1 region; urethane CO uptake in areas 1090.19 cm-1, C = C aromatic absorption at 1640.84 cm-1 region; 1599.17 cm-1; 1540.86 cm-1 and absorption in the aromatic CH 865.65 cm-1; 809.20 cm-1; 770,92cm-1. Based on the research that has been conducted on the data infrared absorption prove the degradation process in empty fruit bunch fibers, and from the results of SEM observations also demonstrate the process of degradation of the polyurethane foam. The results of the data obtained from gravimetric analysis also prove the degradation process, this can be seen from the percent weight loss polyurethane foam. Percent weight loss with polyurethane foam filler 5 grams TKKS grown for 5, 10 and 15 days respectively 3.22%, 5.15% and 7.32%. Polyurethane foam filler with 7.5 grams TKKS grown for 5, 10 and 15 days respectively by 7.44%, 12.12% and 15.61%, the filler 10 grams TKKS, percent weight loss after planting during 5, 10 and 15 days respectively by 17.58%, 23.75% and 30.05%.
