    Pengukuran Beban Kerja Karyawan PJW dengan Menggunakan Metode NASA-TLX di UPBJJ (Unit Pengajaran Belajar jarak Jauh) Universitas Terbuka Medan

    Abstract
    Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, baik di bidang komunikasi maupun bidang instruksional telah memungkinkan tersedianya cara baru dalam menawarkan pendidikan di samping cara konvensional tatap muka yang selama ini dikenal. Pendidikan terbuka dan jarak jauh (PTJJ), yang saat ini berkembang merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan para pemangku kepentingan dalam hal ketersediaan pendidikan, terutama pendidikan tinggi. Universitas Terbuka perlu melakukan pengukuran beban kerja karyawan penanggungjawab daerah dikarenakan jumlah mahasiswa dari tiap tahun mengalami kenaikan fluktuatif. Dampak yang terjadi akibat peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa ini, karyawan diluar jabatan penanggungjawab daerah (PJW) ikut membantu diluar jobdesk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung jumlah karyawan PJW optimal berdasarkan beban kerja. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) dan %CVL (Cardiovascular Load). Hasil dari NASA-TLX menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan fisik yang lebih dominan mempengaruhi karyawan PJW, sedangkan %CVL menunjukkan rata-rata klasifikasi pekerjaan pada karyawan PJW diperlukan perbaikan. Abstract. Rapid technological developments, both in the field communication and instructional fields has enabled the availability of a new way of offering education in addition to conventional face-to-face means that as long as this is knows. Open and distance education (higher education), which nowdays is one of the alternative in meeting the needs of stakeholders in terms of availability of education, especially higher education. Open University need to do responsible employee workload measurement are due to the number of students from the fluctuating increase every year. The impact that result from an increase in the number of students, employees outside the office responsible for the area (PJW) helped outside jobdesk. This research aims to calculate the optimal number of employees PJW based on workload. Research done by the method of NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) and %CVL (Cardiovascular Load). Result of the NASA-TLX showed that physical needs of the more dominant influence employees PJW, while %CVL shows the average employee job classification at PJW needed repairs.
