The objective of the research is to find out the influence of Work Motivation on the performance of the Government Employees at the Regional Personnel Agency of North Sumatera and some other factors which influence it. The theory of motivation is obtained from Afandi with the indicator of recompense, work condition, work facility, and work performance while the theory of Performance is based on Hasibuan's opinion with the indicators of Quantity, Quality of Responsibility, and Punctuality. The research is done quantitatively, using quantitative analytics and simple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 22 software. The data are gathered by conducting observation, questionnaire, and documentation. They consist of primary and secondary data. The population is 120 employees at the Regional Personnel Agency of North Sumatera while the samples are taken by using saturated sampling technique. The result of the research shows that partially, work motivation has a positive and significant influence on the employees' performance, The result of the t-test shows that the significance value for the variable of work motivation is 0.000 < 0.05 or font 7.942 ftable 1.65787 which indicates that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted for work motivation. Therefore, partially, the variable work motivation has a positive and significant influence on the employees' performance at the Regional Personnel Agency of North Sumatera.
