Dinamika Perubahan Sosial dan Pola Adaptasi Masyarakat Sukamakmur Pasca Peralihan Lahan Pertanian Menjadi Penunjang Kepariwisataan

Abstract

Despite the fact that the majority of people in Sukamakmur village are employed as landowners, cultivators, or both as landowners and cultivators, the development of the infrastructure and the numerous tourism-related facilities have changed how agricultural land is used. Of the 525 ha entire area of Sukamakmur village, it is alleged that only 10 ha are currently employed for agriculture. Therefore, it is intriguing to observe how farmers’ social structures change as well as the pattern of adaptation that they have been going through following the changes. A direct observation and an in-depth interview with informants help gather information and indicate the social changes undergone by Sukamakmur community. The social changes are parti‹nilarly related to how the community percefves their ancestral lands, which has an impact on local social norms and relationships of the community. Furthermore, it can be observed how the pattern ofadaptation occurs when the village transforms from an agricultural village to a tourist village. The quick expansion in Sukamakmur affects both positively and negatively, and as a result, social unrest is growing in the community. Futhermore, education and coaching on increasing skills in order ta reduce the amount of land sales and the extinction ofagriculture are necessary. It is also crucial to convince the community to invest their land sale revenues into another profitable sector.
