dc.description.abstractln the midst of the ongoing stages of registering political parties as candidates for the 2024 general election, the media unhlerse in Indonesia is enlh!ened by news of profiteering names or profiteering support for political party membership. Regarding this incident, the KPU implement a policy of handling profiteering support for political party membership through the provisions of Article 140 of KPU Regulation Number 4 of 2022 and KPU Letter Number: 670/PL.0l .J-SD/05 /2022, August 31, 2022, Regarding Public Response, a number of mechanisms are available in these provisions.This study aims lo find out how the policy is implemented and what inhibiting factors are in the unplementation of the policy for handling profiteering support for political party membership for candidates participating in the 2024 general election in Tanjung Balai City. Policy implementation analysis in this study uses the the,ory of Geogre C Edward Ill. The analysis of factors that impede the implementation of policies is described in general based on research data and study results.This study uses a descriptive qualitath!e research method. The focus of this study is the implementation of the policy and the inhibiting factors for the implementation of the policy handling of profiteering support for political party membership for candidates participating in the 2024 election. The informants of this study generally consist of ordinary informants and key informants. Data collection techniques are in-depth interviews in the form of unstructured interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study employ data reduction. data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification.From the results of the study and discussion, it can be seen that the implementation of the policy for handling profiteering support for political party membership for candidates participating in the 2024 general election in Tanjung Balai City has not run optimally due to communication factors and bureaucratic structure factors that have not gone well, while resource factors and disposition factors have gone well. Good Inhibiting factors, namely the absence of socialization related to policies, negative responses from the community, limited time, lack of coordination, and limited authority.en_US
