Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the Importance of the Secretary's Role in Program planning and control in the National Unity Agency and the politics of North Sumatra Province. In general, the secretary has the task of assisting leaders in the administrative field. Within the Kesbangpol Agency itself, in general the secretary at the Kesbangpol Agency has the task of assisting the Head of the Kesbangpol Agency in carrying out government affairs in preparing plans and Activity Programs. The result of this study is that planning and controlling activities at Bakesbangpol are still not optimal, resulting in less effectiveness in implementing activities. The secretary of the National Unity and Politics Agency for North Sumatra Province is not yet optimal to become an inspiration or motivator to foster motivation for his staff to work better and contribute positively to the Kesbangpol Agency.
