dc.description.abstract | Research has been conducted on polymer concrete based on snake fruit seed powder, wood powder, and polyester resin. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of salak seeds and wood powder on the physical and mechanical properties of polymer concrete. The sample was made by sieving 120 mesh, polymer concrete was made by mixing sand, salak seed powder and wood powder, with a composition ratio of (35:35:15), (35:33:17), (35:31:19), (35:29:21), (35:27:23), (35:25:25), (35:23:27), (35:21:29), (35:19:31), (35:17:33) in grams with 15 grams of Polyester Resin adhesive. And composition (35:30:15), (35:28:17), (35:26:19), (35:24:21), (35:22:23), (35:20:25), (35:18:27), (35:16:29), (35:14:31), (35:12:33) in grams with 20 grams Polyester Resin adhesive. Molding with hottpress for 25 minutes at 90 °C. The results showed that the physical properties were the highest density of 1.27 gr/cm3, porosity of 12.5% and water absorption of 13.22%. The research results on the highest mechanical properties are compressive strength of 16.70 Mpa, tensile strength of 4.39 Mpa and flexural strength of 7.93 Mpa. The SEM test results show that in the A1 concrete sample, the results of the SEM test terlihalt dark surface color in the image is a mixture of materials that are close to homogeneous, as well as visible white clumps are polyester resins caused by lack of stirring in mixing materials. In sample B1, there are many visible clumps of resin due to the lack of stirring in the mixing process. | en_US |
