dc.description.abstractA motor protection system against heat and overload has been successfully designed based on the ATMega 8535 microcontroller. This tool is designed to determine whether the system can protect against thermal and overcurrent in an induction motor. The ACS712 current sensor is used to determine the incoming current and the DS18B20 temperature sensor is used to measure the temperature of the motor. These sensors are assembled and programmed on the ATMega 8535 then the measurement results can be seen on the LCD. The results showed that when the motor temperature is greater than 50⁰ C, the system will automatically turn off the relay to prevent damage to the motor. Based on data analysis it can be stated that the system can function properly.en_US
