The distribution of agricultural products to the processing industry is costly. This is due to the non-optimal allocation process. Optimal allocation must consider the difference in distribution costs for each destination. In Desa Pamah there are approximately 750 corn farmers with a harvest season every six months. The harvest is sold to 5 collectors. The produce from the collectors is marketed to 12 corn processing industries. To optimize allocation and minimize distribution costs in this study, we can use the Vogel's Approximation method to get the initial solution and the Modified Distribution method to get the optimal solution. The results of the study resulted in the distribution of shipments from collectors to 12 corn processing industries with a total minimum cost of Rp 1,489,028,035.00. When compared to the method used at the collectors, savings of Rp 14,072,415 or 0.94% were obtained. Based on the composition of the distribution of shipments, the composition of distribution costs from collectors and industries that provide minimum total transportation costs is obtained.en_US
