| dc.description.abstract | The Covid-19 pandemic causes the elderly to feel hored, lonely, anxious, and suffer psychological health problems. This is because the government has ordered to implement social distancing, especially for outdoor activities. Those changes. can affect the physical activities and self-care of the elderly. Inactive elderly tend to suffer from health problems and practice low self-care. The research aims to find out the description of the elderly's physical activities and self-care during the Covid-19 pandemic in Banuagea Village, North Nias Regency, this research employs a descriptive analysis method using simple random sampling 64 elderlies in Banuagea Village North Nias Regency are involved in this research as respondents Data are taken by using a short questionnaire of Physical Activities Scale for the Elderly (PASE) and a self-care questionnaire. Data are analyzed using the univariate analysis method. The result indicates that 57.8% of elderlies have good physical activities during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 60.9% of them have good self-care. This result shows that the elderly's physical activities and self-care during the Covid-19 pandemic in Banuagea Village, North Nias Regency are categorized as good. It is expected for the next researcher to employ interview technique to investigate more deeply regarding the elderly's physical activities and self-care. | en_US |
