dc.description.abstractThe sub-district of Pantai Cermin is part of the Serdang Bedagai Regency which is located in the coastal area. Planning and spatial planning of the coast is an important part of land use in accordance with the land system. The existence of a green line can improve the quality of the environment. This research was conducted to analyze land cover types in Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2022 and to obtain green belt areas in Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2022. This study used the guided classification method. This study shows that there are 9 classes of land cover, namely water bodies, open land, mangroves, mixed gardens, settlements, paddy fields, oil palm, shrubs, and ponds. The largest land cover area is paddy fields, which is 2,600.47 ha or 32.56% and the smallest land cover area is mangrove, which is 231.42 ha or 2.90%. The land system on the green belt width of 100 m, there are two land systems, namely Kajapah (KJP) and Puting (PTG). The largest land cover in the Kajapah land system (KJP) is shrubs covering an area of 35.24% and the smallest is oil palm covering an area of 0.44%. In the Puting land system (PTG) the widest land cover is shrubs covering an area of 43.44% and the smallest is paddy fields covering an area of 0.67%. In the recommendation of the green line, several strategies that can be implemented for rehabilitation and conservation of mangroves, namely the arrangement of coastal border areas, empowerment of coastal communities and wanamina.en_US
