Inventarisasi Satwa Liar di Kawasan Desa Penyangga Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser (TNGL) Resort Bukit Lawang Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

Inventory is an activity of collecting and compiling data and facts as well as the potential of natural resources in resource management planning. One of them is the inventory of wildlife species in an area, such as important mammals to be carried out in the Gunung Leuser Park Buffer Zone (TNGL) Resort Bukit Lawang, Langkat Regency. This research was conducted in Bukit Lawang Plantation Village, Timbang Jaya Village, and Sampe Raya Village in July 2022. These buffer villages have a lot of potential for the development of wildlife tourism. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to provide information about the types of wildlife that can be utilized for development and assist area managers in data collection of potential biodiversity, especially wildlife in the Buffer Village and determine the diversity index and uniformity of wildlife. The methods used in identifying wildlife species are direct observation and interview methods. Direct observation is a method of collecting data through direct observation or careful review in the field or research location. Interview method by interviewing residents, plantation owners, and GLNP officers, regarding the last mammals and birds seen within a year on their plantations. Based on the results of this study showed that in Bukit Lawang Plantation Village on the results of interviews found 19 species and observations found 6 species, Timbang jaya Village on the results of interviews found 14 species and observations found 12 species, and in Sampe Raya Village the results of interviews found 19 species and observations found 7 species. The mammals in the three villages are wild boar, and kekes squirrel. The result of the Shannon-Wienner Diversity Index (H') in Bukit Lawang Plantation Village was 0.787, in Sampe Raya Village was 0.471, and in Timbang Jaya Village was 1.713. The result of the Uniformity Index (e) in Bukit Lawang Plantation Village was 1.410, in Sampe Raya Village was 0.242, and in Timbang Jaya Village was 0.689.
