Analisis Potensi Pengembangan Usaha Ternak Sapi Potong di Kabupaten Padang Lawas

Abstract

Padanglawas Regency is a region plantation coconut palm that has land area 34 thousand ha2. Analysis of potency development beef cattle in the area needs to reach various purposes. Study this aim to identify resources, base, non-base, carrying capacity and find the right strategy for the development of beef cattle in the Subistrict Hutaraja Tinggi Padanglawas district. The research area chosen on purpose is District Hutaraja Tinggi. Method research used is a description method for describing sources for the development beef cattle business. Data analysis was performed with Analysis Descriptive, Analysis Location Quation (LQ), beef cattle Density, Power support Waste Agriculture and Plantation (DDLP), Analysis Index Concentration Feed (IKP), Index Power Support Waste Agriculture and Plantation (IDDLP), Analysis Enhancement Capacity beef Cattle population (KPPTR), and SWOT analysis. Results study show that resource farms in the District Hutaraja Tinggi potentially develop beef cattle business. There are 5 villages which are the base of Ujung Batu Sosa village, Tanjung Baringin, Tanjung Ale, Sungai Korang, and Sibodak. Based on District DDLP Hutaraja Tall Could accommodate 91,676.29 ST based need for dry matter, 41047.69 ST based on the need for crude protein, and 7000.95 ST based on TDN needs. KPPTR value of 168040.04 ST. Strategy development use S-O or strategy aggressive (growth-oriented strategy)
