dc.description.abstract | Betung bamboo can be made into laminated board because it has a stem wall
thickness of 10 mm – 30 mm. Laminated board is a board made of solid wood
pieces, by combining and applying adhesive and pressing using cold pressing in
the manufacture of the product. This study aims to analyze the physical and
mechanical properties of laminated boards from betung bamboo on various types
of adhesives. In addition, this research was also to obtain optimal results for the
type of adhesive on the quality of the bamboo betung laminated board. Betung
laminated boards are arranged into 3 layers with a size of 30 x 15 x 1.5 cm using
isocyanate adhesive (85:15) with a coating weight of 280 g/m2
, epoxy adhesive
(1:1) with a coating weight of 120 g/m2
, and adhesive PVAc with a melting weight
of 280 g/m2
. Betung laminated boards use cold pressing for 24 hours and
conditioning for 10 days. The results of the research on physical properties showed
that the density values ranged from 0.89 g/cm3–0.95 g/cm3
, the moisture content
values ranged from 7.64%–24.37%, and the delamination values ranged from 0%–
100%. The results of the mechanical properties test showed that modulus of
elasticity values ranged from 109,460 kg/cm2–177,942 kg/cm2
, modulus of rupture
values ranged from 709.07 kg/cm2–1,569.82 kg/cm2
, and shear strength values
ranged from 24.95 kg/cm2–60.03 kg/cm2
