dc.description.abstract | Using bamboo in derived products made from laminated board is the right choice
to replace wood as a structural material. Belangke bamboo can be used in the
production of laminated boards due to its strong mechanical properties. Long-term
citric acid immersion is expected to improve strength and durability against
destructive organisms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the physical and
mechanical properties of striped bamboo laminates after long-term citric acid
immersion treatment. The immersion treatment given is 0 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours,
and 24 hours with a citric acid concentration of 20%. The laminated board is made
with a size of 30 x 15 x 1.5 cm (Length x Width x Thickness) consisting of 3 layers
using 280 g/m2
isocyanate adhesive cold-pressed for 24 hours with conditioning for
10 days. Physical property test results for laminates show average values of WPG
(percent gain) ranging from 7,00-10,00%, density ranging from 0,79–0,86 g/cm3
,
moisture content ranging from 11,86–12,67%, and delamination ranging from 0,00-
7,77%. Laminated board were tested for mechanical properties and average values
were obtained of MOE ranging 113686–127378 kg/cm2
, MOR ranging from
516,97–578,95 kg/cm2
, and shear strength 20,53–27,73 kg/cm2
. Based on the
results of analysis of variance, the best laminate board was found in the 24 hour
