Kebiasaan Makan Ikan Jurung (Tor tambra) di Sungai Bingai Desa Belinteng Kecamatan Sei Bingei Kabupaten Langkat Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Jurung fish (Tor tambra) is one of the freshwater fish species that are widely found in the waters of the Bingai river, Jurung fish is very well known in the fishing community because of its distinctive body characteristics and coloration, the taste of its savory meat and its relatively high price. This research was conducted from August to October. Jurung fish (Tor tambra) caught in the Bingai River has a type of food consisting of phytoplankton as the main food, while insects and worms as complementary food, insects and zooplankton as additional food can be categorized as omnivorous. Natural food that becomes the main food of Jurung fish is phytoplankton and chooses Chlorophyceae as its preferred food index. The type of natural food plankton in river water consisting of 7 class and 19 genus including phytoplankton species.
