dc.description.abstract | Sangkuriang catfish is a type of fresh fish that is very much in demand by the public. The process of feeding without the right frequency will not only cause material loss or waste but will also affect water quality which can affect the survival of the fish being reared. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of periodic fish fasting factors on length gain, increase in weight and feed conversion ratio of sangkurian catfish and find out the best treatment in the interaction of periodic fish fasting with different feeding frequencies on length gain, increase in weight, conversion ratio. feed and survival rate of sangkuriang catfish. This research was conducted from October to December for two months (60 days) at Jl. Sangnawaluh, Kampung Baru Kerasaan I, Pematang Bandar District, Simalungun Regency. Based on the results of this study it was found that the periodic fasting treatment of fish with different feed frequencies showed a significant difference between treatments on sangkuriang catfish which showed a very significant (P≤0.01) effect on length growth and weight gain, on the value of Feed Conversion Ratio showed highly significant difference (P≤0.01). The best treatment was the periodic fasting treatment with different feed frequencies on the growth in length and weight gain of sangkuriang catfish, namely P3F3 treatment (fasted 1 day fed 6 days with a frequency of 3 times feeding) and FCR, namely P1F1 treatment and the survival rate was classified as good in each treatment. | en_US |
