dc.description.abstract | The part of the durian fruit that is usually consumed by humans is the fruit coating or flesh, which in durian fruit ranges from 20% - 35%, the skin is 60% - 75% and the seeds are 5% -15%. Utilization of durian waste such as durian seeds and skin is very common among breeders because there are not many studies regarding processing the utilization of durian waste as animal feed that is known or conveyed to breeders. The research was carried out in the research enclosure of the Animal Husbandry Study Program at the University of North Sumatra, RPH UD. Al Nazril Farm Desa Kota Pari Kec. Mirror Beach and Research and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The study lasted for 12 weeks from November 6 2022 to January 29 2023. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment was given as follows: P0: ration without durian waste, P1: ration with 40% durian waste, P2: ration with 50% durian waste and P3: ration with 60% durian waste. The observed variables included pH, water holding capacity and cooking losses. The data obtained were analyzed using variance (Anova). The results of the research show that givingcomplete feed based on durian waste did not affect the cooking shrinkage of the meat and the Water Holding Capacity (DIA), while on the pH value of the administrationcomplete feed make a real impact. | en_US |
