Pengaruh Psikologi pada Mantra Pengobatan Kayap Masyarakat Melayu Pesisir Batubara

Abstract

This thesis is entitled Psychological influence of the Kayap Treatment Mantra of the Pesisir Batubara Malay Community. The Batubara community as supporters of Malay culture, their area is on the East coast of Tanjung Tiram District, Batubara Regency. There are people who still use traditional medicine to cure Kayap disease. Kayap treatment is a treatment that uses mantras and is accompanied by context during the healing process. The problem of this research is how the treatment of Kayap is carried out and the meaning of each treatment text. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literary psychology approach. This research shows that the treatment of kayap uses and is accompanied by context so that it shows that the use of mantras and their context is carried out in stages. Each text and its context has a specific meaning related to Kayap's healing. Which is associated with the behavior and character of the beliefs and beliefs of the Malay community based on Islamic law in Tanjung Tiram sub-district, Batubara Regency.
